‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ star Chris O’Donnell, Makes A Rare Appearance At The Emmys With Daughter Maeve

The glitz and glamour of the 2022 Emmy Awards unfolded last night, with the usual number of celebrities flaunting their good looks and stunning outfits. In a rare public appearance, Chris O’Donnell, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, attended the festivities. He also brought his youngest daughter, Maeve, to make the night even more special.

The actor attended the show on Monday night and also gave a speech at the ceremony. They presented the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie alongside Shemar Moore.

O’Donnell was accompanied on the red carpet by his 14-year-old daughter. He married Caroline Fentress in 1997 and they have four other children together. Lily Anne, 23, Christopher Jr., 21, Charles, 19, and Finley, 16, did not show up.

At the Emmys, Chris O’Donnell has a proud father moment.

During a red carpet interview, O’Donnell mentioned that nearly all of these children have made cameo appearances on NCIS at various points over the years.

“I’m not sure if they want to follow in my footsteps,” O’Donnell said. “Four of the five have appeared in minor roles on the show, and the one who hasn’t, [Christopher Jr.], is a little envious at this point.” We’ll see what happens. We’ll try to find him a small spot.”

Maeve’s appearance was the most recent. She made her debut alongside her mother in a 2015 episode when she was only 7 years old. It was a minor role, but her proud father recalls that she stole the show on set that day.

“She had one little line, and she would rehearse it at home, and she knew her line, and she did it, and she was like, ‘OK,’” says the actor. According to O’Donnell. “I said, ‘We’re doing it again,’ and she said, ‘But I did it.’ ‘I did a good job.’”

O’Donnell admitted that his daughter was “a little nervous” about appearing in front of the camera. But he said he settled in quickly because of the warm welcome he received from the show.

“When she got to my trailer, they put a big star with her name on the board,” O’Donnell explained. “When she got in the makeup trailer, she warmed up, and they started letting her play with the makeup brushes and do her hair.”

The NCIS actor was overjoyed to have his daughter with him at the Emmys. But it wasn’t long ago that he and his entire family were trapped inside during the C0V1D 19 pand3mic.

“Everyone came home from school when C0V1D hit, so we had all five in the house,” O’Donnell said in November 2020. “It was fantastic. On the one hand, it was nice to have more family dinners in two or three months than we had in previous years, but you start to realize [that] college-age kids aren’t supposed to be home with their parents all the time. It isn’t natural.”
